La tipica colazione italiana a casa, si basa su latte, caffè, caffellatte o tè, biscotti o fette biscottate con o senza la marmellata.

Alcuni preferiscono lo yogurt e i cereali o muesli o una spremuta d’arancia.

Molti italiani fanno colazione al bar; di solito con un cappuccino e un cornetto semplice o ripieno con crema o marmellata.

Molti italiani non mangiano quasi niente e preferiscono prendere solo un caffè a casa o un espresso al bar.
