Antonio e Maurizio sono amici; sono ex compagni di scuola.

Sono molto diversi.

Antonio è avvocato, Maurizio invece è disoccupato.

Antonio è molto alto e magro; Maurizio invece è un po’ più basso e in carne.

Antonio è sposato e abita con la sua famiglia; Maurizio non è sposato, abita da solo. L’appartamento di Antonio è grande luminoso, ci sono tre camere; l’appartamento di Maurizio è piccolo ma confortevole e comodo.

L’appartamento di Antonio è in periferia; l’appartamento di Maurizio è in centro.

Antonio lavora molto: lavora tutto il giorno, e la sera torna a casa tardi.

Di solito, quando arriva a casa, è molto stanco, cena e va a dormire.

Maurizio invece non lavora: ha molti passatempi e passa molte ore della giornata con gli amici a chiacchierare.

Il sabato sera, i due amici vanno insieme in pizzeria a mangiare una pizza.

Mentre mangiano, parlano di sport, di politica, dei passatempi di Maurizio e del lavoro di Antonio. Alla fine della cena, Antonio paga il conto anche per Maurizio, perché lui non ha molti soldi. E poi tornano a casa.

They are very different.

Antonio is a lawyer, while Maurizio is unemployed.

Antonio is very tall and thin; Maurizio, on the other hand, is a little shorter and more plump.

Antonio is married and lives with his family; Maurizio is not married, he lives alone. Antonio’s apartment is large and bright, there are three bedrooms; Maurizio’s apartment is small but comfortable and cushy.

Antonio’s apartment is on the outskirts; Maurizio’s apartment is in the centre.

Antonio works a lot: he works all day, and in the evening he comes home late.

Usually, when he gets home, he is very tired, has dinner and goes to sleep.

Maurizio, on the other hand, doesn’t work: he has a lot of hobbies and spends many hours of the day chatting with friends.

On Saturday evening, the two friends go to the pizzeria together to eat a pizza.

While they eat, they talk about sports, politics, Maurizio’s pastimes and Antonio’s work. At the end of the dinner, Antonio also pays the bill for Maurizio, because he doesn’t have much money. And then they go home.
